  I want to warn anyone who might be planning a future party or event at The Blue to possibly think twice. I planned my sons baptism reception here because it was close for out of town family members who were staying at the Heritage Inn. Unfortunately my family could not enjoy the party because it happened to be 75 degrees out that day. They could not properly manage the temperature in the party room. Almost all guests were complaining of the heat and we had to ask several times to turn the air on. Our baby was extremely fussy due to how hot it was in the smaller room with 35 people. The event coordinator Cheryl had no interest in making sure we were comfortable. We ran out of food that should have been budgeted for the amount of people who had shown up. When I got home that night I received an email from The Blue stating that they forgot to charge us $65 for the cake. I responded asking for an itemized copy of our bill because we did not receive one when we paid. I also told her about some of the difficulties we had that night regarding temperature and food running out so they could be aware of those challenges for future parties. The response I received was so unprofessional. Cheryl was extremely defensive, naming reasons why she believed that we did not enjoy our evening. She even went as far to say that we seemed on edge, possibly because of being with so much family. But really we were dealing with a room full of people who were hot and miserable. She also mentioned that because I asked for an itemized copy of the bill we were trying to avoid paying for the cake, which I had already explained we would pay for once I received a copy of the bill. She still didn't send an itemized copy, she typed in email what we paid for. This was a very very tacky response, completely unprofessional from a business owner or employee.

  Food was fair. Very upscale items in a small Ohio town. The bruschetta was quite bad. I've never had it with cheese on it, but the tomato came in a side dish and you put it on yourself. It tasted like it came from a can. The hanger steak came out cooked and seasoned perfectly, but was very tough (cooked medium mind you), and the green salad on the plate with the steak was dressed well. The new potatoes were cooked well but not seasoned. No salt or pepper on the table to do so yourself. Could have been great.
